A little about us

Paul Tomkins

As a son of a sheperd, Paul was brought up with dogs around. His father always had good dogs working with him, although they were not registred. Paul started work as a sheperd himself by the age of 15.

Paul has been working with dogs since he started sheperding and always been training his own dogs.

After 30 years as a sheperd Paul got sick and couldnt do so much sheepwork, so he started training dogs for other people as a professional sheepdogtrainer instead.

In the begining of the 90's he bought his first registred dogs, Dolwen Mac and Peg and with them he started his trailing career.

From them he also started to breed and got his prefix Fynydd.

Paul won the Welsh Nationel with Fynydd Bonnie 2006, with her he also won the Gilpa Welsh Open 2000 and the North Wales Championship 2003. They were team members of the Welsh team at the International in 2006 and 2007 and competed in the World trial 2005.

He also competed in the Worldtrial 2008 with Leominster Arnold
